KIMCHEE to go, the new Korean grab & go concept, has just opened on New Oxford Street, one month after its store on The Strand.

The shop, just next to Tottenham Court Road station, features sleek wood, glass, light fixtures and decorative pots inspired by the Joseon dynasty.

Dishes on the menu include the chef’s special Udon Noodles with either Chicken or Tofu; traditional Korean Guk made with a rich beef broth and topped with fried kimchee and Korea’s most famous export, the Bibimbap – Beef, Chicken or Tofu, eight different seasoned vegetables (known as namul), plain or mixed grain rice all mixed together with chilli paste.

Meanwhile KIMCHEE’s salads include the Korean Avocado Salad with fresh beetroot, pickled lotus root, walnut coated Jorim pieces and marinated egg and Chargrilled Beef, all madefresh in-store daily.

Sides include Yang Yeum Chicken, lightly battered chicken pieces in a sweet chilli sauce and two rice dishes; Plain ‘Bap’ or Kimchee Rice, a spicy rice made with fried kimchee, chilli paste, beef slices, marinated egg and vegetables. KIMCHEE to go has a range of refreshing drinks, served both hot and cold and made in-house.

The breakfast offering includes Misugaru, a traditional blend of 20 different roasted beans, rice, barley and grains topped with dried fruit and nuts or Egg Juk, a healthy rice porridge cooked with ground sesame seeds and topped with vegetable omelette.

KIMCHEE has plans to open 10 more restaurants by 2015.
