Over the next couple of weeks, the Craft Guild’s judges will be visiting The French Restaurant at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, which renowned chef Simon Rogan took in hand in early 2013; Brasserie Chavot in Mayfair, London, which is the first venture of award winning chef Eric Chavot since his return to the UK; and Gymkhana in Mayfair, London, which produces Indian cuisine with a modern twist using British ingredients under the guidance of chef owner Karam Sethi.

Both the chefs and the restaurants have been highly praised by both diners and critics, and promises to be tough but exciting to judge.

The winner will be announced along with 16 other award winners at the special award ceremony at the Westminster Park Plaza Hotel in London on Wednesday, June 4 2014.
