Jonathan Kim appointed executive chef at Cavatina

Cavatina, located inside the Sunset Marquis Hotel, Hollywood, has announced Jonathan Kim as executive chef.

Chef Kim takes more than 10 years of industry and culinary management experience to his role, including his position as executive sous chef at Cavatina for the past year.

He said: “Los Angeles is a melting pot of many cultures and flavors. My vision is to combine some of those flavors with my Korean American background into Cavatina’s menu.”

Kim joins chef and restaurateur Michael Schlow, responsible for developing the original concept for Cavatina. Both chefs will collaborate to bring new menu changes to the restaurant over the coming months.

Chef Kim began his career at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Los Angeles, and later continued his professional career at notable restaurants Water Grill, Providence and Bashan.

Cavatina is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week.
