Inverness return for sell out hospitality business charity event

Written by: Admin
A fundraising event for a Scottish business charity is to return to Inverness following a successful inaugural evening in 2010.
The 2011 Hospitality Industry Trust (HIT) Scotland Highland Dinner takes place at the Kingsmills hotel on the 8th September. Sandy Strang, Scottish journalist & former "Wag of the Year" will be providing the entertainment. Nicky Marr, Moray Firth Radio presenter and Inverness Courier columnist, will be master of ceremonies for the evening. The evening includes a champagne reception, a four course dinner and each table will receive a bottle of Tomatin whisky, direct from the local distillery. Last year's Highland Dinner was a sell out. The event raised over £12,000 to support HIT Scotland. The charity aims to improve aspirations and encourage excellence in the Scottish hospitality industry. Craig Ewan, chair of the organising committee and General Manager of the Kingsmills Hotel said: "The hospitality industry is huge contributor to the economy and the identity of the highlands. As well as supporting HIT Scotland, which has helped a number of hospitality workers in the area, a great night is planned with the opportunity to meet many like minded people." Tickets are available for £65 per person. To book visit www.hitscotland.org
