Hospitality sector celebrates in New Years Honours List 2014

The New Year brings new honours and the hospitality industry has been well rewarded and recognised in the annual list.

Those members of the hospitality sector featuring in the New Year Honours 2014 were:

Christopher Corbin, restaurateur, for services to the hospitality industry and voluntary services through Leuka.

Jeremy King, restaurateur, for services to the hospitality industry and voluntary service to the arts.

Lady Clare MacDonald, for services to the hospitality industry and to charity in Scotland particularly through Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Nicholas Simon Munting, sous chef, House of Commons, for services to Parliament and to young people in Croydon.

Julia Sibley, chief executive, Savoy Educational Trust, for services to the hospitality industry.

Pauline Dale, programme area manager in hospitality, Coleg Llandrillo. For services to further education in Wales.

Mary Patricia O'Kane, proprietor, Beech Hill Country House hotel, Londonderry. For services to tourism and hospitality in Northern Ireland.

Helen Tse, director, Sweet Mandarin restaurant, Manchester. For services to the food and drink sector.
