Hobart’s Bonnet ‘Chef’s Choice’ initiative offers educational cooking experience for caterers

Bonnet by Hobart Cooking Solutions is giving caterers the chance to sample an educational culinary experience by winning a place on the chef’s table at a top cookery school.

Its new ‘Chef’s Choice’ competition, which is open to all UK commercial caterers, offers the opportunity for a caterer plus one other to enjoy a demonstration dining session at Rosemary Shrager’s Cookery School run by executive head chef John Rogers.

Simon Merrick, director of Hobart Cooking Solutions, said: “This is a great opportunity for somebody to fine-tune their skills and to watch and learn from a leading chef, who has vast experience and a great track record at fine dining establishments across the industry.

“Bonnet is a name synonymous with durability, quality and performance – so it is fitting that we are linking with such a respected cooking school to support people in the industry with this new initiative.”

A Bonnet cooking suite is already well established in the kitchen of the school in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Shrager said: “For me, the decision to go with Hobart and Bonnet was a very easy decision to make. They designed the Bonnet suite to suit our exacting needs and that was really important.”

At the chef’s table sessions, Rogers invites participants to “sit back, relax and watch the magic happen”. He has extensive experience of top restaurants having worked at Swinton Park, Masham, and Paris House, Woburn, before teaming with Shrager.

To enter the competition, caterers aged 18 or over should visit the Hobart UK website – www.hobartuk.com/chefs-choice – and fill in their details before the closing date of September 30 2014. A draw will be made on October 2 this year. To learn more, visit www.hobartuk.com or call 0844 888 7777.
