Food writer Melissa Cole is hosting the event where chefs have been invited to create the ultimate sausage roll. Joining returning judge Charles Campion (food critic), the judging panel will also include Gary Usher (head chef and owner of the Sticky Walnut), Edd Kimber (first winner of the BBC Two series The Great British Bake Off 2010) and Charley Boorman (runner up of Celebrity Masterchef 2014).

Last year’s competition was won by Chris Brumby from Ben’s Canteen based in Battersea with his All Day Breakfast Sausage Roll with Bloody Mary Shot. The Great Sausage Roll Off competition 2015 is still accepting entries. The Red Lion is part of 181 managed Fuller’s Beer Company pubs and hotels.
