Game for a spot of summer fun with the Craft Guild

Written by: Admin
The Craft Guild of Chefs is gearing up for its annual Family Games & Sports Day at the Blackwater & Hawley Leisure Centre in Camberley, Surrey, on Sunday, August 26.
All are welcome to come along to the event where everyone can enjoy a host of games and activities, plus a sizzling barbecue and afternoon tea. Giant chess, Jenga and Connect 4 garden game, sumo suits and a classic limbo set are some of the games lined up, while the kids might like to round up the Olympics themselves by taking part in everything from a sack race to a three-legged race. The fun starts at 12pm with a game of cricket, and there will be five-a-side football matches and tug of war contests, as well as a bouncy castle and fairground rides. Dennis Mwakulua, who is in charge of the Craft Guild of Chefs' social events, said: "We all lead such busy lives nowadays and often only get chance for a quick chat with fellow chefs at competitions. Our family games and sports day is the perfect way for our members to get together socially with family, friends and colleagues away from the stresses and strains of the kitchen or office." • Tickets cost £10 per person and children under 12 are free.
