The AA four star Haven Hotel, part of the FJB Hotels Group, in Sandbanks, Dorset, has appointed a new head chef.
Jason Hornbuckle brings more than 25 years' experience to a role. He will be heading a 12-strong team and taking charge of the kitchen set-up and menus, as well as the day-to-day running of the hotel's two AA red Rosette restaurant, La Roche. The new head chef has previously trained with some of the world's leading chefs, including Bruno Loubet at the Michelin-starred restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel in London's Park Lane. Hornbuckle said: "I am really looking forward to working with the team at The Haven Hotel. The hotel's restaurant, La Roche, has a reputation for delivering fine food and a commitment to using locally-sourced produce. "I am looking forward to developing this further to provide one of the best dining experiences that Dorset has to offer, producing exquisite dishes which equal the hotel's breath-taking coastal location." Mark Dicks, general manager at The Haven Hotel, added: "Holding three Rosettes, as Jason has done for a long time, elevates him in to the top 200 chefs in the British Isles and his appointment is a fantastic addition to The Haven Hotel team."
