Finalists named for Tabasco Student Street Food Brunch Challenge

Tabasco, owned by the US based McIlhenny Company, has revealed the names of 22 student chefs going forward to the final of its third ‘hot chef’ competition, the Student Street Food Brunch Challenge 2014 held in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs.

The cook-off will be held on November 3 at the University of West London where the chefs will have to create a dish using Tabasco sauce for four persons in 90 minutes, which is suitable for serving from 11am-4pm as a brunch item from a street vendors’ stall or vehicle.

Top prize for the winning chef is a fabulous trip to the home of Tabasco – Avery Island in Lafayette, Louisiana – to experience the region’s cuisine and culture.
