FDF Community Partnership Award winners announced

Kraft Foods UK & Ireland, Nestle UK and Coca Cola Enterprises are just a few of the companies to pick up an accolade at this year’s Food and Drink Federation (FDF) Community Partnership Awards.
The accolades, which took place at the Institute of Directors in London, reward the contributions and dedication shown by businesses throughout the food chain for making a positive difference in their local and business communities. The event was hosted by Tim Campbell, the first winner of the hit BBC show 'The Apprentice'. A total of 25 awards were presented. President's Award Winner: Coca-Cola Enterprises Apprentice of the Year: Winner: Calum Marnock – Kraft Foods UK & Ireland Runner up: Alexander Fleming - Kraft Foods UK & Ireland Gold Award Winners: Coca-Cola Enterprises Maloney's Retail Stores Mars in the UK Nestlé UK Unilever UK & Ireland William Jackson Food Group Special Award Winner: Kraft Foods UK & Ireland Silver Award Winners: Cargill The Midcounties Co-operative Unilever UK & Ireland United Biscuits Young's Seafood Bronze Award Winners: Bettys Cookery School Cargill James Graven Macphie of Glenbervie Tulip Highly Commended Award Winners: Elior UK Nestlé UK FDF director of communications, Terry Jones said: "FDF's Community Partnership Awards recognise the tremendous positive contribution UK food and drink companies make to society. Despite the many challenges businesses are facing, our sector has remained committed to making a positive difference, be it by reducing their environmental impact or by supporting local schools. "This year's winners are an inspiration to all businesses, both in and out of the food chain, and show not only what can be achieved when companies are committed to making a positive difference, but also why our sector is a such great place to be."
