The Fat Duck named Elite Traveler's second best restaurant in the world

Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck restaurant in Bray has come second in Elite Traveler magazine's inaugural World's Top Restaurants list.
Alinea, the avant-garde Chicago restaurant owned and run by chef Grant Achatz, came out on top, after Elite Traveler sought the views of "high net worth individuals" to produce the top 100. Simon Hodson at Elite Traveler World's Top Restaurants, said: "We wanted to discover the restaurants most enjoyed by high net worths, as these are the people who have the world's best dining at their fingertips." The USA is the country with most restaurants in the top 100, with 20 entries, followed by France with 18 and the UK with 15.
