Essential Cuisine launches recipe book for British Food Fortnight

Written by: Edward Waddell
Stocks and sauces supplier Essential Cuisine has launched a seasonal recipe book, in collaboration with Love British Food, that showcases the best British produce with hints and tips.

The recipe book celebrates British Food Fortnight, which runs from 21 September to 6 October 2019. Love British Food is running the national campaign encouraging caterers to make British their preferred option.

The Think Seasonal, Think British recipe book is a collection of classic dishes and includes products from the Essential Cuisine range. The book has recipes for vegan burritos, a Lancaster hotpot and toad in the hole.

The recipe book also includes a foreword by Love British Food Founder, Alexia Robinson who evaluates the impact of buying British produce.

Jonathan Harvey-Barnes, senior business development chef at Essential Cuisine, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Alexia and Love British Food to celebrate and promote the very best of British farming and homegrown produce.

“We hope our new recipe book will encourage chefs and caterers to realise and take advantage of the amazing quality and value there is to be found in cooking with home-grown produce. We’re extremely proud to champion such an important cause!”
