A new biometric cashless system is being installed into Henley in Arden School, Warwickshire, as part of a three year renewed contract with education catering contractors Alliance in Partnership (AiP).

The contract, worth £350,000, has recently upgraded the Cunningham’s cashless system. The system will incorporate the online payment software ParentPay allowing parents to pay, review, and manage money and options for their child's meals at home.

The biometric finger print recognition software allows students to choose their meals on an individual basis, taking into account any special dietary or allergy requirements.

Mr. Paul Wright, Henley’s head teacher, commented: “We have worked with AiP for 4 years and are looking forward to the technology developments planned with the payment system.”

AiP managing director David Weller added: “After initial programming the system runs very smoothly and helps to keep long-term procurement costs down.
