Damian Hinds MP and Fred Sirieix launch Hospitality Works campaign

Written by: Isabel Finch
Damian Hinds MP, minister for employment, and Fred Sirieix, general manager at the Michelin-starred Galvin at Windows and host of TV programme First Dates, have launched a month long campaign to inspire job seekers by promoting opportunities within the hospitality industry.

Damian Hinds MP said: “Hospitality is one of the most exciting and dynamic industries to work in with many different career opportunities at all levels.

“Our Jobcentre Plus teams stand ready to offer free advice and support to anyone thinking about a career in hospitality and tourism, so they can take full advantage of the opportunities being created in the economy.”

The Hospitality Works campaign, led by the Department of Work and Pensions, The Springboard Charity and the British Hospitality Association, was launched on Valentine’s Day and will run in Jobcentre Plus offices for one month.

Sirieix said: “I believe in hard work and in the beauty of discipline to achieve one’s goal. There has never been a more exciting time to join the hospitality industry - there are opportunities everywhere for those who want them and those who are prepared to do what it takes.”

The campaign, now in its third year, is supported by the twitter hashtag #jobswithasmile.
