The Craft Guild's Brick Fund Dinner returns

Written by: Admin
The Craft Guild of Chef's Brick Fund Dinner is returning next month (30 June) and is expected to be even "bigger and better".
The Brick Fund, which was reintroduced during the chairmanship of Nick Vadis, will be held at Westminster Kingsway College. The aim of the event is to help raise funds for the Guild's head office on Victoria Parade in Richmond, Surrey. There are a number of ways to support the dinner such as auction prizes, table sponsorship and purchase a table. On the night the dinner will be prepared by members of the Craft Guild's own Culinary Academy team, aided by top students at Westminster Kingsway College. Nick Vadis, vice president and past chairman of the Guild, commented on the event: "Last year we raised a staggering £7,500 through the generosity of everyone involved. It truly was a tremendous evening and we want to replicate last year's activities to allow us to carry on with the essential repairs and renovations to our head office, which without the funds would quite simply be impossible to complete." "Obviously we want this year to be bigger and better and we already have a couple of top prizes confirmed, including the chance to win a meal for two at Marcus Wareing's exclusive restaurant, Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley in Knightsbridge. To make the night absolutely fantastic we need more prizes, so the more people and companies that can get involved, the better it will be." This initiative was first introduced 30 years ago when the head office was purchased. It was set up originally by the Cookery & Food Association to purchase the HQ building in Richmond.
