Written by: Admin
Two leading members of the Craft Guild of Chefs scooped top awards at the inaugural FSM Awards launched by FSM magazine to pay tribute to professionals in the foodservice management industry.
Craft Guild vice presidents David Mulcahy and Nick Vadis were both rewarded for their dedication and efforts at the ceremony held at The Royal Garden Hotel in London on November 21. Mulcahy, Sodexo's craft and food development director, received the People Development Award and was praised for putting together an extensive craft development programme aimed at developing culinary and managerial skills for chefs at all levels of the company. Vadis, UK executive chef for the Compass Group, received the Chef Award and highly praised for his work in a particularly tough foodservice sector. The event, which received more than 300 nominations for awards, saw attendees from across the contract catering sector and industry associations including the Association of Catering Excellence and the Local Authority Caterers Association. They were treated to a six course menu, with each course prepared by a different foodservice management organisation.
