Craft Guild of Chefs announces extension to Awards deadline

Leading chef association in the UK the Craft Guild of Chefs has announced the deadline for their Awards has been extended until Wednesday 28th February 2024.

This gives individuals, teams and organisations more time to finalise their entries to the 14 categories that are available for nomination.  

The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards 2024 will take place on Monday 24th June, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Craft Guild of Chefs Awards, two new categories have been introduced: Street Food Chef Award and Outstanding Support of Culinary Excellence.

The awards are seen as the chefs’ Oscars recognising the exceptional talent across the whole of the industry – from apprentice and young chefs just starting out to chefs who are established in their careers in hospitality, pubs and restaurants.

Andrew Green, chief executive of the Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “The Craft Guild Awards, now in their celebratory 30th year, are the pinnacle for any chef to enter. Judged by the very best chefs out there, they really are a must enter awards.

“We cover every sector from pubs, to hotels, to cost sector, we have always believed in being inclusive, and each entry is making a difference within their chosen sector. Just to be shortlisted is a massive achievement, and knowing that people are reading and talking about what you do, and have been doing is a real special feeling.”

The categories open for nomination include: Apprentice Chef Award, Banqueting & Event Chef Award, Chef Lecturer Award, Competition Chef Award, Contract Catering Chef Award, Culinary Hero Award, Development Chef Award, Pastry Chef Award, Pub Restaurant Chef Award, Public Sector Chef Award, Restaurant Chef Award, Street Food Chef Award, Sustainability Excellence Award and Young Chef Award.

The Craft Guild of Chefs Awards are the highlight of the Guild’s calendar – an evening of great food and celebration as we meet to award and congratulate chefs from across the industry.

The award categories where no nominations are sought: International Chef Award, Accredited College Restaurant of The Year, New Restaurant of the Year Award, Special Award and Outstanding Support of Culinary Excellence Award.
