Chef Adam Handling opens second restaurant

Written by: Katie Imms
Chef and restaurateur Adam Handling is opening his second restaurant, Frog by Adam Handling, in London’s Covent Garden this September.

Following the success of his first site, The Frog E1, Shoreditch (named after the postcode in which it is situated), the Covent Garden restaurant will offer a more formal approach and also act as the group’s new flagship.

Serving the best possible produce using a range of technical skills, the new venue will showcase Handing’s own unique cooking style, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner all year round. With 50 covers and an additional 20 in the downstairs private dining room (also complete with its own kitchen), there will be a full team of 60 staff in place.

Handling said: “I’m hugely excited about opening the new restaurant this year. The Frog E1 has been so well-received and set the standard for us as a group, and the new restaurant will be rooted in those foundations but also have its own, distinct and more formal style with its own dishes and frequently changing menu.

“The new site will draw a different clientele to the first restaurant in Shoreditch, and I want it to be unlike anything else currently available in Covent Garden. The site has taken a year to renovate and it was three months behind schedule but I wasn’t going to open it until it was 100% perfect. This flagship restaurant is every chef’s dream.”
