BSA reports great success at Caffe Culture

The Beverage Standards Association (BSA) has reported great success at this year’s Caffé Culture Show, which took place between 15-16 May in London.

Martyn Herriott, executive director, commented on the show: “At Caffé Culture, our stand was continually busy with BSA members and new businesses seeking information on how to join the Association. They also wanted to receive impartial information on barista and customer service training.

“We were particularly inundated with requests for barista training via our existing City & Guilds course. This support has led to further calls for an advanced barista course which we have already begun developing.”

The BSA gave two afternoon presentations in the Caffé Taste Experience theatre on “Raising Beverage Standards” with live demonstrations on how to make the perfect hot beverage.

Herriott added: “We found that many people were interested in this topic and will be entering the Beverage Standards Awards next year too.”

Many BSA members were exhibiting at Caffé Culture including Conti Espresso, Coburg Coffee, The Kokoa Collection, Instanta and Le Cimbali. Martyn adds “It was rewarding to see as many as 12 of our members promoting their businesses at the show.”
