AHDB to host Great British Beef event

The Agricultural and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is hosting an on-farm event titled ‘Great British Beef Re-imagined’, which will demonstrate the ‘farm to fork’ journey on Tuesday 16th April at Deersbrook Farm in Essex.

The Agricultural and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is hosting an on-farm event titled ‘Great British Beef Re-imagined’, which will demonstrate the ‘farm to fork’ journey on Tuesday 16th April at Deersbrook Farm in Essex. 

This inspiration day will include butchery and cookery demonstrations, highlight current trends and share menu development ideas. The speakers include: 

  • Anna Blumfield, host farmer
  • James Peck, chef
  • Karl Pendlebury, KE Manager, AHDB
  • Grace Randall, Retail Insight Manager, AHDB
  • Martin Eccles, Trade Butchery Manager, AHDB

Guests will be taken on a farm walk that will highlight some of the environmentally friendly practices of British beef farmers. The agenda includes: 

  • How farmers are working sustainably, with the environment, to produce beef
  • Consumer insight and market intelligence 
  • Potential trends for beef this year
  • Insights into how to cut beef to give consumers the best eating experience
  • A chef demonstration on beef cuts
