ACE prepares for third celebration of International Women’s Day

Written by: Edward Waddell
The Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) has announced it will once again host their International Women’s Day (IWD) celebration lunch on Friday 8th March 2024.

This event will bring everyone together for an event packed full of ‘inspiration, networking and celebration’ for IWD 2024. International Women's Day is a global event celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

Guests will enjoy lunch at The Pem which is led by chef Sally Abe, one of the capital’s most celebrated young female chefs. Female influencers are invited to bring with them one of their younger aspiring female team members to join them in celebrations.

This event will feature guest speakers including Sally Abe; Jill Whittaker OBE executive chair of HIT Training and Bernadette Gilligan general manager of the Conrad London St James. The trio will share their motivating career stories.

Sarah Prentice, chair of ACE, commented: “This celebration is something I am extremely passionate about as it’s vital we recognise the huge contribution these female leaders and the support they give to other aspiring females within their organisation.

“ACE has always been at the forefront of promoting women in hospitality as we have been steered by some fantastic female chairs in recent years including Jeni Edwards, Gaye Bullard and Sue Thompson. We can’t wait to celebrate together in March.”
