Henson Foods was founded in the 19th century by Joseph Lincoln Henson at Smithfield Market, the heart of the capital’s meat industry.
Originally purveyors of tripe and offal, which was extremely lucrative in those days, the company then expanded into traditional butchery and salt beef production, and by the 21st Century its portfolio included a unique range of meat, chilled items, cheese, deli and premium frozen products for caterers in London and throughout the UK.
In early 2018, Henson Foods moved to new, state of the art, purpose built premises in Woolwich (London); with an around-the-clock production unit, development kitchen, chilled storage facilities and one of the largest cold stores in central London.
The team at Henson work with customers to provide the best service for their business, from just-in-time or overnight deliveries, to sourcing or creating the right product for the right price.
Henson Foods supplies a wide range of establishments including award-winning restaurants, pubs, bars and hotel chains.
Henson delivers throughout London, 6 days a week using its fleet of 20, temperature-controlled vehicles.
The company also delivers nationwide via logistics partnering with sister companies. Orders can be placed via telephone, email, online ordering or the app powered by freshfoodhub. Customers will be allocated their own dedicated account manager.
Office hours are 8am-5pm Monday to Friday, out of office hours the answerphone service, online ordering, or app are available for customers to place their orders.
Next day delivery is available on orders placed before midnight.
