Gather & Gather, the specialist business & industry contract caterer, has created what it is calling a ‘unique collaboration between culinary, technology and sustainability experts’ to help it improve workplace dining.

Called ‘The Gathered Table’, it was officially launched yesterday (September 12th) at The Goldsmiths Centre in London at a party-style event with food from some of the chefs involved, including Ollie Dabbous, Neil Rankin, Ramael Scully, Jose Pizzaro, J.P. McMahon and Dr Rupy Aujla.

Allister Richards, managing director, Gather & Gather, said: “Gather & Gather has always been a disruptive force in workplace dining and launching the Gathered Table is the next iteration of that.

“Bringing the best and brightest culinary minds together will ensure our clients benefit from the latest food trends creating a total experience.

“In addition, our Gather & Gather chefs will also gain from invaluable development opportunities with these industry icons.”

He added that the concept involved the best and brightest minds in food, technology and sustainability joining forces to pioneer a radical new collaboration focused on food in the workplace.

“From chefs and nutrition experts, to tech innovators and sustainability champions, this unique think tank will look beyond the everyday to create better-fed, happier and healthier people in the workplace.”

Those taking a seat at The Gathered Table also include tech entrepreneur Michael Rolph, and representatives from The Sustainable Restaurant Association.

Launched in April 2013, Gather & Gather employs 2,700 people offering restaurant, café, hospitality and event services to a range of clients in media, technology, legal, financial services and retail. This year it received the maximum Three Stars in the SRA Sustainability Rating.

It is part of Mitie Group plc, a facilities management and services provider.
