Speciality Breads targets growth with new ‘innovation' kitchen

As part of its plans to grow the business, Speciality Breads has launched a new innovation kitchen and tripled its office space.

The British baker’s new space includes a reception and seating area for guests, meeting room facilities and a new innovation/presentation kitchen.

Speciality Breads managing director, Simon Cannell, said “On the back of another incredibly positive 12 months, this investment is laying the foundations for further innovation and growth.

“It ensures that we can work even more closely with our customers to showcase our existing range and also create, develop and test the next generation of our unique products."

The new facility was revealed on 20 October at the company’s bakery in Margate.

The company has also confirmed the addition of Alan Allman to its senior management team, in the position of finance & operations director.

Cannell added: “Alan comes to us with a wealth of experience gained at director level within the finance sector and is also a qualified business advisor and HR specialist.

“It’s the people behind our bread which has driven the success of our company, so we’re delighted to be able to further strengthen our team with Alan’s appointment. 

“His experience, knowledge and enthusiasm will be a massive benefit to the company as we continue our journey to bring innovative artisan bakery products to the foodservice market.”
