We are currently looking to recruit a sous chef at Letchworth Hall Hotel, Herts. Salary £25 - 30k

Concentrating on the busy restaurant side, we are seeking an experienced chef to support and manage the kitchen, and deputise for the head chef

As sous chef, you will need to be a good people person, have good management skills and be able to cook fresh seasonal dishes. 

This medium sized hotel has a good following and high occupancy rate, the restaurant caters for 70 – 100 guests on a daily basis. 

Working within a brigade of 8 chefs - along with the head chef, who is hands on - you will be in charge of all health and safety procedures, support and mentor the younger members of the team, and have input in the seasonal menu. 

Set in beautiful parkland, the hotel also hosts corporate and private functions, which are run by a separate kitchen and a head banqueting chef and his team.

What we need from you

• A competent chef with a good experience working with fresh, locally-sourced produce
• A sous that is competent in managing a brigade of 8 chefs 
• A good sense of humour, the kitchen work hard but do like to get on with one another
