Craft Guild of Chefs relaunches Culinary Academy

Written by: Edward Waddell
The Craft Guild of Chefs has relaunches the prestigious and award-winning Culinary Academy.

The Culinary Academy provides an opportunity for chefs to compete at national competitions for industry accolades. Over the next few months the Craft Guild of Chefs is putting together a team to compete in all areas of the HRC Salon Culinaire in March 2020.

Team members will also develop their own personal skills including pastry, larder work, communication and leadership skills. Successful team members will have the opportunity to compete at the Culinary Olympics and the World Cup.

Matt Owens, vice chair of the Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “It’s extremely exciting to bring back this valuable and prestigious part of the Craft Guild of Chefs.

“The Culinary Academy is an amazing opportunity to be part of a culinary team on a national and international scale, competing against some of the world’s finest talent.”

The Culinary Academy is pleased to have as sponsors two of our long term Business Partners in Angel HR Group and Darégal Gourmet, both leading specialists in their respective fields, and we look forward to working with them both.

The membership levels available are:

  • Junior Academy Members – under 23 years of age with limited competitive experience.
  • Academy Member – over 23 years of age and is competing or is about to compete.
  • Fellow of the Academy – competing at international level, e.g. World Cup and Culinary Olympics, and is committed to mentorship of Academy members.
  • Master of the Academy – has achieved Gold at international events and is committed to mentorship of Academy members.
