Job applications ‘soar’ across hospitality industry

Despite wider uncertainties affecting the industry, hospitality professionals can rejoice as job application rates ‘soared’ by 33.9% last month (October).

According to online job site CV-Library, application rates in the hospitality sector rose by 33.9% in October, making it the number one sector for hiring right now.

CV-Library data revealed the best sectors for hiring as of October 2018: 


  1. – 33.9% increase in applications

  2. – 31.6% increase 

  3. – 25.9% increase 

  4. – 22.3% increase 

  5. – 21% increase 

  6. – 15.8% increase
  7. – 15.2% increase
  8. – 15.2% increase
  9. – 13.1% increase
  10. – 13.1% increase
