Heat 2020 final call for entries

Written by: Edward Waddell
The Craft Guild of Chefs has announced that entries for the 2020 Heat Culinary Colleges Competition will close on 25 October 2019.

Heat 2020 is a great opportunity for students to get involved in a culinary competition. In previous years, chefs including Mark Jordan, Frances Atkins and Lee Smith have helped the college teams at the finals in Jersey.

Finalists will spend four incredible days in the four star St Brelade’s Bay Hotel Jersey, sample the local produce and attend the HEAT gala celebration all for FREE.

Andrew Bennett, chairman of the Craft Guild of Chefs, said: “It is a pleasure, to again be involved with this wonderful competition, that allows young teams from colleges around the UK to compete against each other on the Island of Jersey.

“This competition continues to grow with the exciting prospect of spending four days not only competing, but exploring what Jersey provides in terms some amazing produce which all the competitors have access to.

“Certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity for students in coming together and represent their College in aiming to win this prestigious accolade. "
