Craft Guild of Chefs "approves" Eurilait's Soignon goat cheese rolls

Eurilait’s range of Soignon goat cheese logs have achieved an above average rating under the Craft Guild of Chefs Product Endorsement Scheme, enabling use of the esteemed ‘Approved Product’ logo.

During the product endorsement programme, all three chefs unanimously agreed that the goat cheese logs were of superior quality and that they would be happy to continue using them.

Made by the award-winning Soignon goat cheese producers in the heart of France’s Poitou-Charentes region, the goat cheese log range benefits from over 100 years of cheese-making experience, heritage and tradition and offers an excellent flavour profile, a soft and creamy texture with a clean, white appearance and a mild, fresh aroma.

At a recent blind sampling with the Craft Guild of Chefs, 62% said they preferred the flavour of Soignon goat cheese, compared to an alternative market leading brand, with many stating it had ‘a better goat flavour’ and was ‘more creamy’ than the competitor.

Craig Brayshaw, director of sales, said: “We are delighted to achieve the Craft Guild endorsement for our Soignon Goat Log, this is one of our hero brands and to have such a positive response from this prestigious organisation is a fantastic result. Goat cheese continues to perform well in the market as consumers and chefs become more familiar with it and are more adventurous with usage; our aim is to introduce more people to high quality goat cheese and its everyday use. “
